The estate

This wine which had its heyday in the XVIIIth century, has now the chance of being a star of Saint-Estèphe thanks to a team of carefully-chosen experts, considerable resources and the unbounded ambition of this lover of the great Bordeaux wines. From the Médoc ‘Royal Route’ close to Saint- Estèphe, the towers of Château La Rousselière can be seen rising up from an ocean of vines, like sails filled by the gentle breeze from the Gironde Estuary. The precious terroir and the passion of a wine-loving couple have made this wine one of the stars of Saint-Estèphe.

The owner

«Pleasure is all» says Jacky Lorenzetti eagerly. The owner of Château La Rousselière, who counts among France’s most prominent businessmen, has found, with his wife, a new playground on this magnificent estate in Saint- Estèphe.

The wine

Vintage 2008 : Top-quality barrel ageing gives the wine a refined touch of vanilla, coffee and cigar-box hints. Its dense mild and fine structure shows its perfect adjusted extraction. The finish has all the length and class of the great Saint-Estèphe.

Vintage 2009 : Enchanting the eye with its beautiful, consistent colour, this wine boasts a nose of intense fruit flavours backed up with notes of mocha, vanilla and coffee. The bouquet’s blend of sweet vanilla and roasted coffee bean aromas is the perfect prelude to this wine’s dense, substantial flavour on the palate. The long, elegant finish is enriched by subtle smoky notes, rounding off an enjoyably powerful wine with supple tannins. A charming, resolutely modern Saint-Estèphe.

Vintage 2010 : On roasted and mocha notes, a texture which is both smooth and dense reveals a charming 2010 vintage. With a bouquet full of flavour, this rich wine has smooth tannins on the finish. Resolutely modern and elegant, Château La Rousselière 2010 is an atypical, unique Saint-Estèphe wine.
